Dimitrios Salachas
Dimitrios Salachas ( Greek Δημήτριος Σαλαχας ; born June 7, 1939 in Athens , Greece ) is a Greek clergyman and emeritus Apostolic Exarch of the Greek Catholic Apostolic Exarchate of Greece , based in Athens.
Life
Salachas was ordained priest on February 9, 1964 in the Apostolic Exarchate of Greece at the age of 24 . On April 23, 2008 he was appointed Apostolic Exarch and Titular Bishop of Carcabia . The episcopal ordination received his Mihai Frăţilă , auxiliary bishop in Großerzbistum Fagaras and Alba Iulia , on 24 May 2008 in Athens; Co- consecrators were Frangiskos Papamanolis OFMCap , Bishop of Syros and Milos , and Hlib Lonchyna MSU , Auxiliary Bishop in the Grand Archbishopric of Kiev-Halych .
On May 14, 2012 Dimitrios Salachas moved to the titular diocese of Gratianopolis .
On February 2, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
