The Dimmo peak is approximately 700 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises at the southwest end of the Schmidt Hills .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2010. It is named after geologist David Macdonald from the British Antarctic Survey , who worked in the Pensacola Mountains and on the Antarctic Peninsula in the 1990s .
