Dingalan is a municipality in the Province of Aurora, Philippines .

Dingalan is located about 183 kilometers northwest of Manila in the Sierra Madre Mountains on the Pacific Ocean . There are some caves in Dingalan, of which the Lamao Cave is the most famous.
Neighboring communities
The municipality is bordered to the north by San Luis in the province of Aurora , to the west by Gabaldon and General Tinio in the province of Nueva Ecija and Doña Remedios Trinidad in the province of Bulacan , to the south by General Nakar in the province of Quezon and to the east by the Pacific Ocean .
Structure of the municipality
South of the main town are the barangays Aplaya, Cabog, Matawe, Ibona and Umiray. The first baranggay north of the main town is Paltic. All barangays are on the coast with the exception of one barangay, which is in the mountains. The entire municipality is mountainous. The Umiray River forms the border with Quezon Province .
history
Dingalan became an independent municipality in 1962. The tropical storms Violeta, Winnie and Yoyong from November 30 to December 3, 2004 resulted in severe destruction and many deaths. The township benefited from the relief efforts of several Christian groups, La Salle Greenhills and the Philippine Red Cross .
