General Tinio ( Tagalog : Bayan ng General Tinio ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija , in the administrative region III, Central Luzon. General Tinio has 47,865 residents (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 13 barangays . It is classified as a first income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
General Tinio lies at the foot of the Sierra Madre mountain range . Their neighboring communities are Doña Remedios Trinidad in the south, Gapan in the southwest, Peñaranda in the west, Santa Rosa in the northwest, Gabaldon and Laur in the north and Dingalan in the east.
The Arubo Archaeological Site is east of the community center. In it were hand axes recovered, in the era of Acheulian be dated. The main tourist attractions include the Minalungao National Park .
