Lupao ( Tagalog : Bayan ng Lupao ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija , in the administrative region III, Central Luzon. Lupao has 43,788 residents (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 24 barangays . It is classified as a third income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized . It was founded on January 31, 1901.

Lupao in the north of the province on the southern foothills of the Caraballo Mountains , in the northeast of the Central Luzon Plain. Its neighboring communities are Umingan in the north, Carranglan in the northeast, San Jose City in the south and the Science City of Muñoz in the west.

The provincial capital Palayan City is approx. 75 kilometers in the southeast, Manila approx. 175 kilometers in the south and Baguio City approx. 110 kilometers in the northwest of Lupao.
