Dionisio Lachovicz
Dionisio Lachovicz OSBM , also Dionysios Liakhovych (born July 2, 1946 in Pombas , Brazil ) is Greek Catholic Curia Bishop in the Grand Archdiocese of Kiev-Halytsch and Apostolic Visitator .
Life
Dionisio Lachovicz made his religious vows on March 30, 1970 for the religious community of the Basilians of St. Exit Josaphat . Bishop Efraím Basílio Krevey OSBM from São João Batista em Curitiba in Brazil consecrated him on December 8, 1972 as a religious priest . From 2004 to 2006 he was Proto-Archimandrite ( Superior General ) of the Basilian of St. Josaphat. On December 21, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI called him . , with simultaneous appointment as titular bishop of Egnatia , as curia bishop in the major archbishopric of Kiev-Halych. Lubomyr Cardinal Husar and the co-consecrators Archbishop Stephen Soroka of Philadelphia and Bishop Efraim Basílio Krevey OSBM donated to him on 26 February 2006, the episcopal ordination . On January 19, 2009, he was appointed Apostolic Visitor for the Ukrainian Byzantine Rite Believers in Italy and Spain .
