Police veteran Frank Gannon plans to quit his job with the Direct Action Task Force of the Los Angeles Police Department after many years . He's one last night with an inexperienced colleague Billie Ross. He observes how corrupt colleagues negotiate with Afghan drug dealers . Then he decides to take action against police corruption and to testify before a corruption committee. When his colleagues realize that they cannot change his mind, they try to murder him during his last shift before the appointment with the corruption committee.
