Dirk Losert 1986

Dirk Losert (born May 27, 1964 ) was a soccer player in the GDR soccer association DFV until 1990 and then with the amateur clubs Dresdner SC and FV Dresden-Nord . For DFV he played for the first division clubs Dynamo Dresden and 1. FC Magdeburg . He is 13-times national junior player of the GDR. Losert has been working as a football coach since 2000.

Career as a player

Dynamo Dresden

Losert is a qualified sports teacher and comes from a traditional soccer family. His father Gerd Losert had played 127 GDR league games for SC Einheit Dresden , and his grandfather had already played football in Brandenburg. Dirk Losert started working for BSG Motor Trachenberge under his father as a trainer. After he had already been used in the junior district and district selections, Dynamo Dresden took over the talented striker in 1977. Losert also became aware of those responsible for the GDR junior national team, and between 1980 and 1982 he played 13 international matches with the GDR juniors. In 1982 he became GDR junior champion with the Dynamo Juniors. When he was still a junior, he played for the first time in Dynamo's first men's team. On April 17, 1982 he was called up in the 21 league game in the encounter 1. FC Magdeburg - Dynamo Dresden (4-0) as a left winger. By the end of the season he was in three other league games, but in contrast to his first appearance only as a substitute. For the 1982/83 season Losert, still a student, was officially nominated for the Dresden Oberliga lineup for the attacking area. But also in this season, the 1.82-meter-tall striker only made four first division appearances. The cause was a complicated broken leg that Losert suffered on September 15, 1982 in the European Cup match against B93 Copenhagen. As a result, he did not play in the first team at all in 1983/84. It was not until the 1984/85 season, now a student at the Leipzig Sport University DHfK , that Losert again completed 12 games in the top division. For the following season he was nominated as a midfielder and was used in 10 first division games. At the end of the season Losert had played 30 league point games for Dynamo Dresden, but only scored three goals. He had also been used in five European Cup games.

1. FC Magdeburg

In the summer of 1986 Losert planned to switch to the league promoted progress Bischofswerda , but received no approval from the GDR Football Association, as they had already decided on an exchange with Dynamo Dresden, Losert against Frank Lieberam from 1. FC Magdeburg. So Losert came to 1. FC Magdeburg at the beginning of the 1986/87 season, who nominated him as a striker again. He played 17 league games in his first season in Magdeburg, mostly as a left winger, but often only as a substitute. It was only in the 1987/88 season that he won a regular place with 20 stakes in the game. Despite this positive balance, Losert left 1. FC Magdeburg after two years, for which he had played three national cup games in addition to the 37 top division points (1 goal). He had now received approval to move to BSG Progress Bischofswerda, which had meanwhile been relegated to the second-rate GDR league. There he was not used, however, and was not nominated for the first team even after being promoted to the league again.

Dresdner SC, Bischofswerdaer FV 08 and FV Dresden-Nord

When Dresdner SC was re-established in 1990 , the club brought in Dirk Losert, who was elected captain of the soccer team for the 1990/91 season. With the DSC, Losert rose within two years from the district league to the then third-class NOFV-Oberliga . When the DSC made promotion to the Regionalliga in 1998, Losert moved to Bischofswerdaer FV , for whom he played 18 games without scoring in the 1998/99 season. In the 1999/00 season he also played goalless in 25 point games for FV Dresden-Nord , which like the Bischofswerdaer also played in the Oberliga Nordost.

Career as a coach

In 2000 Losert ended his career as an active soccer player at the age of 36, returned to Dresdner SC and became an assistant coach there under Hans-Jürgen Kreische . In 2007 Losert was the coach of the newly established fourth team at Dynamo Dresden. He had to end his engagement for health reasons. A few years later, in February 2017, Losert took over the team from Post SV Dresden in the city league.
