Dirk Schönberger

Dirk Schönberger (born 1972 in Pforzheim ) is a German non-party local politician. He has been Lord Mayor of Remseck am Neckar since 2014 .

Life

Schönberger studied law in Saarbrücken and Konstanz from 1993 to 1998 and graduated with the first state examination. After completing his legal internship , he also passed the second state examination in 2000 . He then worked as an employed lawyer in Freiburg im Breisgau . In 2001 he became head of the legal remedies office of the Ludwigsburg tax office . Since 2003 he has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Public Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg . From 2005 he worked as a department head in the tax investigation office of the Heilbronn tax office, and from 2007 until his election as Lord Mayor of Remseck as a consultant at the regional tax office in Karlsruhe.

In 2014, Schönberger applied as an independent candidate for the mayoral election in Remseck am Neckar . On July 6, 2014, he was elected the successor to the previous incumbent Karl-Heinz Schlumberger with 50.4 percent of the vote against his competitor Klaus Weber ( SPD ), who received 49.4 percent of the vote . He took office on October 1, 2014.

Schönberger is married and has two children.
