The Disang (also Dilih ) is a left tributary of the Brahmaputra in the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam .
The Disang rises in the Patkai Mountains not far from the border with Myanmar . From there it flows in a predominantly northerly direction through the Changlang district . He leaves the mountains and reaches the Assam lowlands near Namrup . The Disang turns to the west and flows through the city of Namrup. Subsequently, the Disang meanders initially in a west-southwest, later in a westerly direction through the lowlands and the Sivasagar district , the capital of which is Sivasagar south of the river. Eventually the Disang reaches the south bank of the Brahmaputra at Disangmukh . The Disang has a length of 230 km.
