The Changlang District is a district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh . The district administration is based in Changlang . The corresponding Hierarchical Administrative Subdivision Code (HASC) is: IN.AR.CH.
history
The district of Changlang was separated from the district of Tirap on November 14, 1987 and has been an independent district since then.
geography
The Changlang District is located in the southeast of Arunachal Pradesh. The district is bordered to the north by Lohit , in the northeast on anjaw district , to the east and south by Myanmar , on the southwest by Tirap and on the west by the state of Assam . The area of the district Changlang is 4662 km². The district is traversed by the Dihing river and its tributaries Namphuk and Tirap as well as the Noa-Dihing . The Namdapha National Park extends to the east of the district .
