The Lohit District is located in the east of Arunachal Pradesh. The district borders in the northwest on Lower Dibang Valley , in the north on Tibet , in the east on Anjaw , in the south on Changlang and in the west on the state of Assam . The area of the district Lohit is 5212 km². The district is traversed by the Lohit River of the same name .
