Displeased Records is a Dutch independent label based in Zaandam . In addition to its activity as a music label, Displeased Records is a distributor for various independent labels for the Benelux countries and operates a mail order business under the name Dis-Order . The label was founded in 1993 and initially signed mainly unknown bands; by the end of the decade it also took on more well-known groups. In the case of contracts with new bands, only those that the label contacts themselves will be selected; demo recordings that have not been requested will not be used. In addition to releasing new albums, the label specializes in re-releasing albums by well-known metal bands from the 1980s and 1990s.
