Djibril Omar "Djibi" M'Bengue (born May 13, 1992 in Schorndorf ) is a German handball player who is under contract with the Portuguese club FC Porto .
Career
The son of a Senegalese and a German first played soccer in his youth before switching to handball. In the A-youth , the left-hander switched from HSK Urbach / Plüderhausen to TSB Schwäbisch Gmünd , for which he later appeared in the Württembergliga. In 2013, the 1.95-meter-tall backcourt player joined the then second division TV Bittenfeld , but continued to play for TSB Schwäbisch Gmünd until 2015, with whom he was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga in 2014 due to a second game right . In the 2014/15 season , M'Bengue was promoted to the handball Bundesliga with the TVB . From the 2015/16 season he played in the Bundesliga with the club, which is now called TVB 1898 Stuttgart . In the summer of 2018, M'Bengue left the TVB and joined the Portuguese first division club FC Porto . With Porto he won the Portuguese Championship and the Portuguese Cup in 2019.
