Dmitri Andrejewitsch Migunow ( Russian Дмитрий Андреевич Мигунов ; born November 21, 1992 in Ufa ) is a French , formerly Russian short tracker .

Career

Migunow made his debut in Dresden in February 2011 in the Short Track World Cup and finished 21st in the 500 m. In the 2013/14 season he reached second place with the relay in Kolomna, his first World Cup podiums. At the 2014 European Championships in Dresden, he won the gold medal with the relay over 5000 m. In March 2014, he finished fourth with the relay at the 2014 World Championships in Montreal . At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he won his first World Cup victory in Salt Lake City in the relay. In the further course of the season three victories, a second place and a third place followed over 500 m. In January 2015 he won the gold medal with the relay at the 2015 European Short Track Championships in Dordrecht, as in the previous year. At the 2015 World Championships in Moscow he came in 27th place in the all-around competition, 20th place over 1000 m and 1500 m and fifth place with the relay. He finished the season in first place in the 500 m World Cup. In the following season he got two wins with the relay. He also triumphed over 500 m in Dordrecht and took third place over 500 m in Dresden. As in the previous year, he won the 500 m World Cup. At the European Championships in Sochi in 2016 , he was third over 500 m and 1000 m. His best results at the 2016 World Championships in Seoul were eighth place over 500 m and fifth place with the relay. He has been working for the French association since 2018.
