Docus Ajok (born July 12, 1994 in Alebtong ) is a Ugandan athlete who competes in the middle-distance run .

Athletic career

In 2013, Docus Ajok, a student at Ndejje University in Uganda, took part in the Summer Universiade in Kazan . Over 800 meters she was disqualified there in the preliminary run and over 1500 meters she finished tenth in 4: 25.83 minutes. Two years later she won the gold medal over 1500 meters at the student world games in Gwangju, South Korea, in 4: 18.53 minutes, was disqualified over 800 meters in the semifinals and took fifth place with the Ugandan 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she reached the semifinals , in which she was eliminated in 2:02 minutes. A few weeks later she took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei for the third time , winning bronze over 800 meters and silver over 1500 meters. In addition, this time she reached sixth place with the Ugandan relay. The following year she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where she was sixth in the 800 meter competition in 2: 01.22 min. At the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus she was fifth in the mixed relay in 27:35 min and at the World Student Games in Naples she won the bronze medal over 800 meters in 2: 02.31 min behind the Australian Catriona Bisset and Christina Hering from Germany . She retired over 1500 meters with 4: 22.73 minutes in the first lap.

In 2014 and 2017 Ajok became the Ugandan champion in the 800 and 1500 meters.
