Doderer (noble family)
Doderer is the name of an Austrian family from Württemberg who were raised to the Austrian nobility and knighthood in 1877 with the architecture professor Carl Wilhelm Doderer (1825–1900) .
Family origin
Coming from the Murrtal (Württemberg), the direct line of the family begins with “Peter Doder”, an outdoor farmer in Sechselberg . His son, whose name is very similar to "Peter Doderer", lived in the hamlet of Göckelhof near Mettelbach and married on May 3, 1590 in Murrhardt . Then another five generations of farmers followed on the Weidenhof near Weidenbach , all of whom married daughters from farming families.
The last of these was already a carpenter and moved to Waltersberg to practice his trade . His son Gottlieb (1782–1832) moved on to Heilbronn , where he became a citizen, carpenter and mill builder and married Luise Diruf (1790–1846), the daughter of another Heilbronn citizen who was a butcher. From this marriage, Carl Wilhelm Doderer emerged as the second son in 1825 . He moved to Vienna in 1851 and made a career as an architect and professor there in the following years . Members of the von Doderer family now live in Austria and Germany .
A brother of Carl Wilhelm Christian von Doderer, Carl Gottlieb Doderer (1826-1893), stayed in Heilbronn. He was there city councilor , master baker and, in 1888, co-founder of the Württemberg Portland Cement-Werk zu Lauffen am Neckar AG (today ZEAG Energie AG ).

Excellent class and on February 4, 1877 raised to the hereditary Austrian nobility and knighthood due to the statutes of the order .
