Count Dodiko (* 10th century; † 29 August 1020 ) administered in the first decades of the 11th century from his castle on the Wartberch in Warburg large areas in the Saxon Hessengau , in Ittergau ("Nitherga") and in Nethegau . His property extended from Höxter in the north to far south in the north Hessian area.

His parents are said to have been Amelung von Saksen-Billung and Hildegund von Geseke , the daughter of Bernard from the Haolde (or Haholde) family, who were counts in the western part of the Paderborn , Warburg and Corvey area in the 10th and 11th centuries officiated. He may have been a grandson of the first and brother of the second Haold. According to Hildegund's custom, she was married to Amelung Graf in Padergau and Vogt of the Paderborn Church and thus they were the parents of Dodiko. Dodiko was the grandson of Ekbert the one-eyed from Saksen Billung and the brother of Sigebode I.

After his intended heir, his only (illegitimate) son, had a fatal accident in a riding accident in 1018, Dodiko concluded a “ precariousness contract” with Bishop Meinwerk of Paderborn . In it he bequeathed all of his possessions to the Paderborn bishopric , but received their use for the rest of his life. Dodiko died on August 29, 1020.

Emperor Heinrich II confirmed the transfer of ownership and in 1021 also transferred the count's rights in the Saxon Hessengau to Bishop Meinwerk. Heinrich's successor, Emperor Konrad II , withdrew the count's rights from Paderborn after an intrigue emanating from the Archdiocese of Mainz and gave them to Mainz; In 1033, however, they finally came to Paderborn.
