Dominic Marcus Singer

Dominic Marcus Singer is an Austrian actor and film director.

Life

Singer has been on stage since he was 12 and had engagements at the Volkstheater Vienna and the Festspielhaus St. Pölten . He appeared in the films The First Day (2008), The Way You Are (2012), Walking on the Beach (2013), Therapy for a Vampire (2014). In his first short film, the splatter comedy Hermann mit der Schneeschaufel (2014), Singer directed and played the main character Hermann . In 2015 Singer graduated from the Krauss drama school in Vienna.

He played his first major role in the Austrian feature film One of Us , Here he embodies the role of the young Michael Zehetbauer. Since then, Singer has repeatedly appeared in front of the camera for German-language television series and feature films.

Diagonale 2018 - Acting award for the entire ensemble of L'Animale and Cops

Singer's directorial debut, the short film Hermann mit der Schneeschaufel (2014), for which he also wrote the screenplay, was nominated in three categories at the FrightNights film festival , including the category Best Actor . The film received the festival's grand prize ("Silver Hand") and was included in the regular program of the Megaplex Hollywood cinemas.
