Dominic Ondigi Abunda (born August 8, 1993 in Kisii ) is a Kenyan hammer thrower and record holder in his country.

Athletic career

Dominic Ondigi Abunda gained his first international experience in 2011 at the Junior African Championships in Gaborone , where he finished sixth in the discus throw with a width of 41.73 m and fifth in the hammer throw with 53.97 m. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and finished 16th there with 61.38 m. Then he finished seventh at the African Championships in Asaba with a new national record of 62.57 m. The following year he took part in the Africa Games in Rabat , where he was fifth with a throw of 61.31 m.

In 2018 and 2019 Abunda became the Kenyan hammer throw champion.
