Dominicus Baudius
Dominicus Baudius (also: Dominique Baudier , Dominique Baude ; * April 8, 1561 in Lille , † August 22, 1613 in Leiden ) was a Dutch-French lawyer, poet, scholar and historian.
Baudius studied in Geneva and Leiden. In 1587 he became a lawyer in The Hague. He lived in France from 1591 to 1601 and in Leiden from 1603. In 1606 Baudius became professor of eloquence and history at the University of Leiden .
