The Waltershagener Bach or Walterbach is an 8.5 kilometers long, right or eastern tributary of the Rodenberger Aue in the Lower Saxony districts of Hameln-Pyrmont and Schaumburg . It flows in the Deister-Süntel valley , which is surrounded by the mountain ranges of the Deister in the northeast and the Süntel in the southwest.

The Waltershagener Bach has its sources in the Deister east of Nienstedt in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont. In a westerly direction, it crosses Nienstedt, a valley basin, collecting water from many small tributaries from the surrounding Deister slopes and flowing through the Walterbachtal nature reserve on the border with the Schaumburg district. In this it crosses under the B 442 at Klein Amerika and after crossing the route of the former Süntelbahn south of Messenkamp flows into the Rodenberger Aue.
