Dominicus Gollowitz

Dominicus Gollowitz OSB (born May 31, 1761 in Geiselhöring ; † May 9, 1809 in Konzell ) was a Benedictine in the Abbey of Oberalteich and professor of theology at the University of Ingolstadt or Landshut and at the Lyceum in Amberg .

biography

Gollowitz made his profession in the Benedictine monastery in Oberaltaich in 1779 and was ordained a priest in 1784. From 1798 to 1801 professor of moral and pastoral theology at the University of Ingolstadt and after its relocation in Landshut. From 1801 to 1804 he taught as a professor of moral and pastoral theology as well as dogmatics at the Lyceum in Amberg. Since his professed monastery was dissolved as a result of secularization, he worked as a pastor in Konzell from 1804, where he died in 1809.
