Dominik Käppeler

Dominik Käppeler (* 1988 in Göppingen ) is a German chef .

Career

The son of a restaurant owner began his training at Feinkost Käfer in Munich when he was 15 . In 2006 he moved to the Egern 51 restaurant in Rottach-Egern , in 2007 to the Da Mimmo restaurant in Bad Wiessee and in 2008 to the Park Hotel Egerner Höfe in Rottach-Egern. In 2009 the Maiwerts Fährhütte restaurant at Dieter Maiwert's in Rottach-Egern (one Michelin star ) followed, and in 2010 the Altwirt Hotel and Restaurant in Großhartpenning . In 2011 he became head chef at the Hotel Bachmair am See in Rottach-Egern and in 2013 at the Fährhütte am See in Rottach-Egern. In 2014 he moved to Beach38 in Munich. In 2015 he went to the Schweiger 2 restaurant next to Andreas Schweiger (one Michelin star ).

In 2017 he took over the restaurant, which is now called the Showroom . It was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide in 2017 .
