Dominik Skauradszun

Dominik Skauradszun (born August 16, 1981 in Paderborn ) is a German lawyer and legal scholar .

Life

From 2002 to 2007 Skauradszun studied law and musicology at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and tax law ( LL.M. ) at the Saarland University and the Technical University of Kaiserslautern . His doctorate was in 2009 with the work Copyright in foreclosure . From 2007 to 2009 Skauradszun was a research assistant and assistant at the chair for civil law, civil procedural law, international civil and procedural law at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. Since 2012 he has been a lecturer in corporate law and corporate law as well as international insolvency law at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University , and since 2014 at the Center of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Heilbronn.

In 2012 Skauradszun was appointed judge in the higher judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg and subsequently worked as a civil and criminal judge in the first and second instance. In 2014 he was appointed to the professorship for civil law, civil procedural law and commercial law, in particular corporate law at the University of Fulda . Since 2017 he has been Vice Dean of the Economics Department; In 2020 he was re-elected. Since 2015 he has headed the Fulda Colloquium on corporate law . In 2015, he turned down the professorship for business law, in particular labor and insolvency law, at the Faculty of Business and Law at Nürtingen-Geislingen University. The Faculty of Law at Bielefeld University habilitated him in 2020 with the text "The decision as a legal transaction". He is Visiting Professor at the Law School of Nottingham Trent University , the Law School of the Dublin Business School and at the State University of New York in Cortland (USA).

Skauradszun edits major scientific commentaries in Kübler / Prütting / Bork (there parts of the European Insolvency Ordinance ), in Beck / Samm / Kokemoor (there in the area of ​​German bank insolvency law), in Beck-Online major commentary on civil law (there parts of the Condominium Act), in Soergel from the 13th edition (also parts of the Condominium Act) and in English in Brinkmann (parts of the European Insolvency Ordinance). Skauradszun has been an advisory board member of Jura Studium & Examen (JSE) magazine since it was founded in 2011 , an editorial board member of the Zeitschrift für Miet- und Raumrecht (ZMR) since 2016 and an editorial board of the magazine for restructuring and insolvency (ZRI) since 2019.
