The Domsee is a lake in the Duchy of Lauenburg in the German state Schleswig-Holstein . The lake is about 70 hectares and up to 16.7 meters deep. It connects to the south-east of the Ratzeburg Lake and is only separated from it by a somewhat narrower passage between the cathedral peninsula and the lake shore near Römnitz , the so-called "Römnitzer Enge". An artificial dam, on which the federal highway 208 runs, separates the Domsee from the small Küchensee to the south .
