Don Sharp

Donald Sharp (born April 19, 1922 in Hobart , Tasmania , Australia , † December 14, 2011 in Cornwall , England ) was a British film director , screenwriter , actor and film producer .

Life

Sharp began his career as an actor and came after the Second World War by the United Kingdom , where he met with the Group Three worked. In the mid-1950s he began directing, mostly for modestly budgeted crime films and musicals. His best-known works originated in the following decade, when he directed three films for the traditional company Hammer and made several films for producer Harry Alan Towers (including the first two Fu-Man-Chu films with Christopher Lee ). He was also responsible for large-scale productions as a second unit director.
