Donna Gigliotti

Donna M. Gigliotti (born November 1955 ) is an American film producer .

Life

Donna M. Gigliotti began her film career as an assistant to Martin Scorsese for the film Wie ein Wilder Stier and worked her way up in various production functions before she was able to produce three films at the same time in 1995 with A Summer at the Lake , Restoration - Time of Sensuality and Devil in Blue . With Shakespeare in Love and The Reader , she was nominated as a producer for the British Academy Film Award and the Oscar for Best Picture, both of which she won awards with Shakespeare in Love . After Gigliotti was Executive Vice President of Miramax Films from 1993 to 1996 , it was announced in October 2010 that she would become President of the Production Department at The Weinstein Company .
