The sea rescue boat (SRB) Doortje was a boat of the so-called 7-meter class of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS). It was built in 1971 by the Evers shipyard in Niendorf under construction number 505. The internal name was KRST 12.

Naming

The name Doortje is a Frisian female name.

Technical Equipment

The lifeboat was equipped with a radio system, external bilge pump and a rescue port.

Like all "real" boats of the 7 m class, the boat did not have a radar device (further explanation: Kaatje ).

Stationings

The first stationing place from September 1971 was Laboe . When the DGzRS opened a rescue station in Wendtorf in 1973 , the Doortje was relocated there. When this station was closed on May 25, 1987, the boat was moved to Brunsbüttel , where the boat was used until it was decommissioned in June 1988.

The Doortje was on active duty in the GMRS at the Schule Schloss Salem at Lake Constance sold the boat under the name Kurt Hahn in cooperation with the DLRG as motor lifeboat operation. It was in the "Spetzgart" harbor. In 2001 it went into private hands and is being restored in North Rhine-Westphalia .
