Beyern village church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Beyern is a listed church building in Beyern , a district of the town of Falkenberg / Elster in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg .

The centrally on the Anger of Anger village situated church dates from the 13th century. The western outer walls made of lawn iron ore stones have been preserved from this period . From 1867 to 1869 there was a thorough renovation in the style of the late Schinkel School , which added a small apse to the nave . The octagonal tower top is also from this conversion.

The interior is simple and characterized by the three-sided gallery and a simple pulpit altar . The chandelier is from the end of the 18th century. The two-manual organ was built in 1867/69 by Nikolaus Schrickel from Eilenburg .

Outside the church there are tombstones from 1662, 1676 and 1792.

The church has a historic rectory (Hauptstrasse 30), in whose garden the New Rectory , which is now also a listed building, was built in 1937 .

The village church of Beyern belongs to the parish Rehfeld (Falkenberg / Elster) in the parish of Bad Liebenwerda of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
