The village church Fohrde is a hall church , which stands in the center of the village Fohrde , the today's district of the city Havelsee . It has no name.

history

The church in Fohrde was built in 1765. In 1975 a separate community room was installed in the nave under the south pore . The last renovation of the church tower was completed in 2000.

Building

The simple baroque plastered building consists of a choir , nave , a small transept and a west tower with a dome . The windows in the nave, choir and transept are unadorned arched windows . On the north and south sides of the nave and the choir, two muntin windows of this type were incorporated. The roof over the choir was worked as a hipped roof towards the east . The east side has no windows. There are two large round-arched panels for this purpose . The entire church building stands on a slightly extended base compared to the rest of the building. In the transept there are arched windows to the south and north. Above these arched windows there are round windows under the gables. In the transverse building, small side portals were incorporated into the eastern outer walls on both sides. The corners of the transverse building and the choir have only flat vertical recesses as decorative elements. Such recesses can also be found over the corners of the upper part of the tower. In the area of the ship, there is a very simple, smooth gable cornice .

In the tower there is a tower clock with dials on the west and east sides. Its base with a rectangular floor plan takes on an almost square cross-section after two step-shaped, suspected taperings in the upper part. A wide and flat arched window is let into the southern outer wall of its lower part. The sound openings for the church bells are located in round arched window niches in the upper tower, although the arch to the north and south is blocked so that the sound opening itself is kept rectangular there. On the dome there is an attachment with a tower ball and wind vane .

The simple west portal has an added or veneered pointed arch, while the door is segmented. Above the portal there are two rectangular windows one above the other, a small pointed arch window to the right.

inventory

Inside the church there is a wooden pulpit altar wall. The organ dates from 1861 by the Berlin master organ builder Wilhelm Remler . It stands on a wooden west gallery, slightly bulging around the organ, above the entrance, which is richly decorated with paintings.
