The listed Protestant village church Gentha is located in Gentha , a district of Jessen (Elster) in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

In framework construction built church dates back to 1655 and was at the instigation of Hedwig of Denmark built. It has a three-sided east end and a western roof tower. In the north there is a two-storey extension for a box and a sacristy .

Furnishing

The wooden Altaraufsatz in Ädikulaform with cheeks is a foundation of Hedwig of Denmark. This is shown instead of a disciple on the last supper painting on the altar. The patronage box of the church is glazed, galleries are on the north and west walls. There are renewed stencil paintings on the beam ceiling . The baroque pulpit dates from the 18th century. A cup-shaped, made of sandstone made baptism is in forms of Baroque executed.
