history

The lords of Lobdeburg -Elsterberg transferred the place to the Roda monastery in 1363 . Another author proves the date of the first documentary mention on January 21, 1214.

It is believed that the Romanesque church with a choir tower was built in the 13th century . It still shows a defensive character, which it probably got from the previous church. The half-timbered tower and the hipped roof of the church tower were built around 1719. Instead of the Romanesque apse , a sacristy was added in 1788 to replace it.

To the nave

The entrance door to the nave has Romanesque cross-shaped iron fittings from the 16th century. The choir is bordered by the triumphal arch from the nave. The baroque pulpit with lid is said to date from 1712. A Lutheran confessional from the 18th century is in the choir room, which was restored in 2003. Church paintings can be seen on the parapet .
