The church

The Langendembach village church is located in the Langendembach district of the Langenorla community , which is a member of the Oppurg administrative community in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

In 1529 a pastor is mentioned in Langendembach, so that the existence of a church can be assumed. Plaster analyzes refer to the 17th century. The first date on the weather vane is from 1704, the year in which the roof turret was replaced. He carries two bronze bells from the years 1927 and 1951 from the bell foundry in Apolda .

The painting in the nave is well preserved. A simple pulpit altar adorned with putti heads and a winged altar are part of the furnishings, as well as pictures and the predella with Christ child and ox and donkey and the baptismal font . Two galleries carry the organ with a pompous prospect from 1803.
