The Protestant village church of Niedersynderstedt is located in the district of Niedersynderstedt in the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

The village church is located with the walled cemetery in the western village west of the road 1060.

history

The church has several previous buildings. One of them was mentioned in the article of the village of Niedersynderstedt in 1140 as first mentioned in a document. This or the successor church with a walled churchyard is a wide hall building with a three-sided choir , a very high saddle roof and a square tower . This is on the east side of the church.

There is a Welsche hood on the tower , which was covered with copper in 1984 . The tower has a staircase , late Gothic curtain windows and a room with a cross vault in the basement .

The ship's space was renovated in 1979. The pulpit is a painted room. A red curtain painting from the 17th century has been uncovered and restored on the choir walls. The steel bells are from 1927.
