Rambow village church

The village church in Rambow, a district of Moltzow in the Mecklenburg Lake District , dates back to the 15th century and was significantly expanded from 1621 to 1625. The community belongs to the Rostock provost in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany ( Northern Church ).

description

It is a rectangular stone church with a retracted rectangular west tower. Pulpit and altarpiece date from 1595. The renaissance style altarpiece shows pictures from the New Testament. One bell dates from 1703. The church has been extensively renovated in recent years.

The church contains the grave with epitaph and armor of the Swedish general Carl Dietrichson Ruth (1592-1656), who during the Thirty Years' War was given goods in Western Pomerania for his services and in 1649 acquired the Ulrichshusen estate , making him patron saint of the church . He donated the church clock with an hour strike and other parts of the furnishings. His family lived on Gut Ulrichshusen until 1688 and were buried in the church's crypt .

The neighboring Rambow rectory on the medieval Wedem (parsonage) was built generously before 1798 and is the only residential building on site that was preserved from the time before the estate was founded in the 19th century. It has been lovingly restored with its old rose garden and park and also offers holiday apartments.

organ

Noteworthy is the organ on the west gallery, which was built in 1933 by the Danish organ builder Marcussen & Søn ( Aabenraa ). The instrument was initially in the Nikolaikirche in Kiel . It was then transferred several times to other churches and each time it was rebuilt, and only reached Rambow in 2011. The slider chest instrument has 10 stops on two manuals . The pedal is attached. The manuals are placed one above the other. The auxiliary work (I. Manual, C – f 3 : Bourdon 8 ′, Recorder 4 ′, Principal 2 ′, Fifth 1 13 ′) is located at knee level below the keyboard. Above is the pipework of Manual II (Hauptwerk, C – f 3 : Krummhorn 8 ′, Gedackt 8 ′, Principal 4 ′, Nasat 2 23 ′, Gemshorn 2 ′, Scharf IV, Tremulant). The main work can be swelled through two double doors. The actions are mechanical. The Hauptwerk can be coupled to the pedal (C – d 1 ).
