In the southern area of the Angers and there east of Lindenstrasse, the building stands on a plot of land that is not fenced .

history

The structure was erected in 1753. During the Second World War , the building burned down after a bombardment in 1945 and was restored in 1954. 2016 craftsmen renovated the facade; In 2017 the parish had the harmonium restored.

Building description

The structure was essentially built from bricks , which were then plastered . The choir is straight and has not moved in. It is based on a likewise plastered, surrounding plinth. The corners are accentuated by pilaster strips that reach up to the gable and thus create a field. This is emphasized again by two broad pilaster strips; in between a pressed-segment arch-shaped window. In the gable is a circular window that was decorated with a cross. In the direction of the roof ridge there are six semicircular, interlocking arches that are designed as panels . Three panels were arranged in the lower area, two above and one in the ridge. There's a chimney on it .

The nave has a rectangular floor plan. Here, too, the facade is structured with pilaster strips. On the north side, seen from the east, there are initially two large, pressed segment-arched windows. Underneath is a small, rectangular window. In the center below the third window is a rectangular gate with a semicircular screen in which a cross is worked. To the west, the upper windows are significantly smaller to accommodate a gallery located in the interior . There are two small windows underneath. The south side of the facade is constructed identically. The west wall of the ship is windowless.

The west tower is square and strongly drawn in opposite the ship. It can be entered from the west through a large gate. There is a rectangular screen on the north and south sides. Above this is another panel on each side that takes up the shape of the window. There is a small window on the west side. Above is a surrounding cornice that was attached to the eaves of the ship. In the middle floor there is another rectangular window on the west side, while a transverse rectangular window has been installed on the north and south sides. The bell storey is above another cornice. On each of the three accessible sides there is a segmented arcade of sound , which is supplemented by two smaller openings to the west. There is a flat pyramid roof on top that ends with a cross.

Furnishing

View into the nave

The church furnishings are uniformly modern and date from after the Second World War. The inside of the structure is flat covered. The parish built a winter church and had the gallery separated so that the rooms could be used separately.

To the south of the church, a monument made of brick field stones with three plaques commemorates those who died in the world wars.

harmonium

The harmonium was manufactured by the Swedish harmonium factory Olof Lindholm in the 1920s . It was restored in 2017.
