Doris Jannausch

Doris Jannausch , at times also listed as Jannausch-Schmidt , (born August 30, 1925 in Teplitz-Schönau , Czechoslovakia ; † December 10, 2017 in Ruppertshofen ) was a German writer , theater actress and cabaret artist .

Life

She attended the theater school in Aussig on the Elbe for three years . After the expulsion she got an engagement at the Landesbühne Dresden and also played in the city theater Greifswald and in Glauchau . In East Berlin , she passed the state-certified actress exam. After appearing in cabarets as a Conferencière, she married her colleague Günter Schmidt, with whom she moved to the West in 1961. Doris Jannausch wrote numerous children's books as well as cheerful adult novels . From the Meffi series, Meffi, the little, fiery red devil (from 1971) was also translated into Spanish and Italian. She lived in Ruppertshofen in Baden-Württemberg and also wrote features, glosses and stories for newspapers. In 2017 she died in the Ruppertshofen suburb of Birkenlohe .
