Doris Lott

Doris Lott (born April 4, 1940 in Karlsruhe ) is a German author , journalist and teacher .

Life

She studied German and French to become a teacher and taught at the Rüppurr secondary school, among others . At the age of 21 she worked as a journalist with articles on school policy for the Badische Neuesten Nachrichten . Lott was on the board of the Franco-German Society for a long time and lived and worked as a pedagogue in Nancy and Chartres in France for seven years . She also worked as an assistant for the German language. In addition to her work as a teacher, Doris Lott also works as a writer.

Lott was married to the teacher and dialect author Bernhard Lott (1950–2008) and has two children.

Prizes and awards

Lott was honored by the Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe, Gerhard Seiler, for her “services to German-French cooperation”. In 2005 she received the gold medal of the city of Nancy for her contribution to the partnership between the two cities.
