Doris Margreiter (born November 14, 1968 in Ried in der Riedmark , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). From November 9, 2017 to October 22, 2019, she was a member of the National Council .

Life

After primary school in Tragwein and Ennsdorf, Doris Margreiter attended secondary school in Enns and the higher education institution for business professions in Perg . After graduating from high school , she worked for a credit agency in Linz , among other things . In 2008 I took the step to self-employment in the area of ​​office organization and office service. In November 2019 it was announced that she would succeed Susanne Pollinger as managing director of Kinderfreunde Oberösterreich .

Since 2014 she has been the President of the Social Democratic Business Association (SWV) Upper Austria. Doris Margreiter was a member of the Main Association of Austrian Social Insurance Institutions and is a member of the extended executive committee of the Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce , where she is, among other things, deputy head of the information and consulting department. She has been a member of the SPÖ's federal party executive since 2016.

In the 2017 National Council election , she ran for the Hausruckviertel regional constituency . On November 9, 2017 she was in the constituent session of the XXVI. Legislative period as a member of the National Council . In the 2019 National Council election, she ran in the Hausruckviertel regional constituency in second place behind Petra Wimmer , but did not achieve a mandate and therefore left the National Council on October 22, 2019.

At the end of 2019 she was appointed as the successor to Peter Groiß as the executive district chairwoman of the SPÖ in the Vöcklabruck district .
