The House of Advertising is a high-rise building in the Schöneberg district of Berlin at the intersection of Kleiststrasse at the corner of An der Urania 20/22 and Keithstrasse 2/4. The listed building was designed by the architect Rolf Gutbrod as the headquarters for Studio Dorland . That is why the building is also called the Dorland House .

Origin, conception and history

The building was intended to act as a concentration point for advertising agencies in West Berlin in the 1960s and 1970s. The architecture at the time it was built was modern and extraordinary. The building deliberately stands out from its surroundings and acts as a solitaire . The building is triangular with no sharp corners. For the facade, exposed concrete was used in the truncated corners . The building is a historical monument.
