Dorothe Ingenfeld (* 1974 in Xanten ) is a German opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Dorothe Ingenfeld, born in Xanten in 1974, completed her vocal training after graduating from the Stiftsgymnasium Xanten from 1994 at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin , where she participated in performances by the Hanns Eisler Ensemble and the Ars Nova Ensemble , as well as from 1997 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London , where she graduated with honors from Rudolf Piernay and Annette Thompson in 2000 .

Further studies with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau , Paul Hamburger and Emma Kirkby followed . In 2001 Ingenfeld won the international competition for young opera singers at the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera and performed increasingly as a concert, lied and opera singer, particularly in Johann Sebastian Bach's compositions, including with the Berlin Philharmonic in the Konzerthaus Berlin .

Ingenfeld made her operatic debut with the performance of Cherubino from the Royaumont Foundation, followed by performances as Orfeo ( Orfeo ed Euridice ) and Orlowsky ( Die Fledermaus ), as well as other engagements at the Theater Hagen , the Theater Vorpommern and the State Theater Braunschweig .

In addition to further concert tours and opera performances in England, France and Austria, Ingenfeld made guest appearances in Qatar, where she participated in the world premiere of the opera Ibn Sina by Michiel Borstlap , at the Sapporo Festival in Japan and in 2004 at the Israel Festival in Jerusalem, where she was performed in Hermann Max 's performance von Bach's St. Matthew Passion participated.
