Regions of Ghana

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The West African state of Ghana is politically divided into 16 regions, each headed by a regional minister and its own regional court. A referendum on December 27, 2018, based on a New Patriotic Party's election pledge to the 2016 election to create new regions, resulted in the formation of all six proposed new regions in February 2019.

The regions are in turn divided into districts.
