Dorothy Davenport ( March 13, 1895 in Boston , Massachusetts , USA - October 12, 1977 in Los Angeles , California , USA) was an American actress , screenwriter , director and film producer .

Life

Davenport came from a theater family. Her grandfather Edward Loomis Davenport and her aunt Fanny Davenport were well-known theater actors in their day, as was her father Harry Davenport . She was married to Wallace Reid from 1912 until his death in 1923 .

Dorothy Davenport died in 1977, aged 82, at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles , California . She was buried next to her husband in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale .
