The group comprises over 100 companies with a total of more than 6,000 employees (as of 2018). The companies are mainly active in the business areas of tube tools , industrial products, machine tools , clamping devices , real estate and trade .
history
The holding company , based in Salzburg, was founded in 1996 as a 100% subsidiary of Dr. Helmut Rothenberger private foundation established. It bundles the holdings of the entrepreneur Helmut Rothenberger and his family.
The origins of the German-Austrian family company go back to 1949. In that year Edwin Rothenberger founded the trading house Rothenberger in Frankfurt am Main , from which u. a. the Rothenberger Group emerged . In addition to this branch, other parts of the company now belong to the group .

- The core area is the production of pipe tools and machines for sanitary, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, gas and environmental technology under the management of ROTHENBERGER AG . This area is complemented by companies in related industries, including a. RICO (pipe cameras), KROLL (disposal vehicles), RUKO (drill technology) and Sievert (burners and gas technology). - Participation in nexMart GmbH & Co. KG, an e-business service provider and consultant for electronic communication between customers, dealers and suppliers. In 2008, Helmut Rothenberger set up the Tools for Life Foundation, which aims to help people around the world to set up and improve drinking water and energy supplies.
