Dragutin Pavličević

Dragutin Pavličević (born January 15, 1932 in Novi Vinodolski ) is a Croatian historian .

Life

Pavličević grew up in Pleternica and Požega . Until 1956 he studied history and Croatian philology at the Pedagogical University in Zagreb . He initially worked as a teacher in Pleternica and then continued his studies at the University of Belgrade until 1964 . He then became a lecturer in history at the Pedagogical Academy in Petrinja . From 1968 to 1970 he worked as a school principal in Petrinja. In 1976 he received his doctorate at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Zagreb . He then worked as a research fellow at the Institute for Croatian History and from 1997 to 2003 Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Sciences Ivo Pilar in Zagreb. Pavličević is the author of several works on the history of Croatia in the 19th and 20th centuries.
