The chapel in foliage

The Trinity Chapel in the Lower Franconian foliage is a small church on the outskirts of the small village. It was built on the road towards Prichsenstadt and is now part of the Kitzingen dean's office .

history

The chapel was built in the 18th century. An inscription placed above the portal says: “In honor of the H • G • Drejfaltigtigkeit is built this Kappelen / 17-36”. The name of the donor can be found in a cartridge, embedded in the center of the portal frame. The name is illegible, however. A major interior renovation was carried out in 1975. The chapel is the Bavarian State Conservation Office as a monument out.

Architecture and equipment

The chapel is laid out in a rectangular shape. It was built as a hall and ends with a polygonal choir closure. The chapel is easted, a gable roof tapers towards the choir as a hipped roof . Outside, above the portal, a painting of the Most Holy Trinity was placed in the 20th century. It was painted by Willi Götz from Rimbach . Inside there is a two-pillar altar that came into the house of God at the time it was built. Memorial plaques for those who fell in the world wars are also hung inside.
