Druann "Dru" Mouser (born January 18, 1971 in Fort Worth , Texas ) is an American actress .

life and career

Dru Mouser, now 1.63 m tall, was born in 1971 in Fort Worth , Texas , the youngest of five children of her parents, Billy Gene and Freda Shirley Mouser, and grew up on a cattle ranch in Rainbow , Texas. While her father owned a business that sold industrial tools until he retired, her mother was a legal secretary for a Fort Worth attorney until she retired. Dru Mouser's grandmother, Freda Whitworth, founded the Glen Rose City Library, which still exists today . She gained her first experience as an actress as a child when she was used in various plays that were then performed in amateur theaters. Mouser continued to work as an actress during her school career and in the course of her still short career has already won several prizes in UIL competitions in acting.

After graduating from high school, Mouser was booked for some appearances in commercials and for some roles in television films. She also traveled all over Texas until she finally came to Los Angeles . At the age of 19 she was finally discovered by the director and producer Lili Fini Zanuck , who brought her to the cast for her debut film as a director in a small role. After she was used in Feverhaft , the film's title, she was seen in a not insignificant role in the film A Woman Without a Past in the same year . Her first appearances in a television series followed only a year later, when she was used in two episodes of Sharp Guns - Hot Curves and that same year got a role in the television film A Murderous Friendship . After a rather quiet year in 1993, in which she could only be seen in the film Attack of the 20-Meter Woman , she was engaged in 1994 with Armed and Innocent - A Boy Against the Killer and Family Album for two film productions also received an appearance in an episode of Alles Schön und Recht .

Mouser was cast for Two Singles in Double Bed for an episode in 1995 and eventually went through a year of no notable appearances before returning to screen in 1997. She had a recurring role in the sitcom Moesha and was featured in a total of five episodes. She was also involved in an episode of Profiler and an engagement for the film Jealousy - Treason of a Friend , in which she is dubbed in the German version of Kellina Klein . During the production of the film, she also met her future husband, Cliff Dorfman , whom she married the following year. After not being used in any notable production in 1998, she played a leading role alongside Joey Lawrence in 1999 in the film Tequila Body Shots , followed by appearances in the second season of Undressed - Who with whom? .

After a rather insignificant appearance in Girls United in 2000, her involvement in well-known productions collapsed somewhat. An appearance in an episode of Girls Club followed in 2002, before she got a major role in Mango Kiss (2004) again and was also seen in an episode of Entourage that year . But even here the hoped-for breakthrough did not materialize. After taking a long break from 2004 to 2005 after the birth of her son, she was used in 2006 in the 22-minute short film Shoot , in which her husband was active as a director, screenwriter, producer and actor. This was followed by some appearances in well-known television series from 2006, where it was only ever used in one episode. Until 2007 she was part of each episode of What About Brian , Dr. House , Dirt or Medium - Nothing remains hidden to see. In 2009 followed a role in the film Black Russian and a role in an episode of Bones - The Bone Hunter . With the TV film Hell on Wheels , another film in which Dru Mouser is involved is currently in post-production .
