Mango Kiss is an American romance film by director Sascha Rice from 2004. The comedy describes the experiences of the two friends Lou and Sassafras, who fall in love and immerse themselves in the local lesbian BDSM scene on a trip to San Francisco .
action
Lou falls surprisingly in love with her best friend Sassafras, but before she can reveal herself to her friend, the two of them leave for San Francisco to work as artists in the gay scene. In San Francisco they get to know a homosexual BDSM subculture that is completely new to them. To allay Sassafra's concerns that a steady relationship would damage their friendship, Lou suggests a BDSM role-playing game in which she herself takes on the role of the "grim fur seal" and Sass that of the "bad princess".
As a result, artistic and relationship roles are becoming increasingly blurred; in the non-monogamous environment of subculture, their relationship and role play become increasingly complicated. Sass meets Micky, a guitar-playing punk from the BDSM scene, Lou offers herself to the attractive, dominant greengrocer Chelsea Chuwawa as the bottom . The two meet the unhappy lesbian couple Edith and Archie, and Sass' aging mother looks back on her time of "free love".
The situation comes to a head when Lou organizes a wild birthday party for Sass, during which there is a special kind of board game. The well-known "truth or dare" when you spin the bottle becomes "hit or kiss". When Lou's bottle points in Mickey's direction, she doesn't want one or the other.
Reviews
"With a sly sense of humor and loads of sex, Mango Kiss is a sweetly wrapped, cocky, and amusing tour of the insane world of slapping women. Believe it or not, I can tell you that Mango Kiss is basically an ode to old-fashioned romances is. " miami gay & lesbian film festival
