Drumguish , Gaelic : Druim Ghiuthais , is a village in the Scottish Highland Council Area . It is located in the traditional county of Inverness-shire about one kilometer south of the River Spey , 35 km south-southeast of Inverness and 80 km northwest of Dundee . The A9 , which connects Edinburgh with Thurso , runs about three kilometers to the north .

Drumguish lies on the border of the important Speyside whiskey region . Since 1990, The Speyside has also been a whiskey distillery near Drumguish.
